Having worked side by side with Fence & Deck Connection on so many occasions provided insight into the great people, solid processes, and creative designs F&D is uniquely qualified to provide and made joining the F&D Team an easy choice. John came to Fence & Deck Connection in 2017 having been a client for over 25 years as an Irrigation and Landscape Designer focusing on Builders and Site Development projects. I enjoy spending time with my family, I'm a die-hard Redskins fan, and I love to go overboard with the decorations at Christmas. I'm a life-long Anne Arundel County resident where I still reside with my wife of 15 years, 14-year-old son, 9-year-old "baby" girl and two dogs (Boxer and Miniature dachshund). I am passionate about what I sell, the company that I represent and of course, my clients. My strengths are in discovering new opportunities, building relationships and connecting the dots it's what I do best. Although the products are very different, the process is the same. Two years ago I took a leap of faith, made the decision to change professions and join the commercial sales team at Fence and Deck Connection.

I did everything from working in the shipping department, production manager to leading the company in sales for my final 15 years. I started fresh out of high school and learned the business from the bottom up.
DAVE KING TOOL REPAIR PROFESSIONAL
I spent the first 25 years of my professional career with the McArdle Printing Company.

I should also mention that I like Chihuahuas and Chinese noodles. My work has appeared in Architecture in the Garden by James van Sweden, Coastal Living, Southern Living, and Garden Design magazine. I have also won (2) ALCA awards for excellence in landscape design, (1) Perennial Plant Association Award for a project in Annapolis, MD, and (1) residential ASLA award for project contribution to a design for a residential island retreat in South Carolina. In 2010, I joined Fence and Deck Connection where I ran the landscape division for a year and then joined the general sales team in June of 2011. After leaving I became a registered landscape architect and worked with (3) respected landscape design build companies in the Washington Metropolitan area for a total of 7 years. Upon graduation, I worked with Oehme, van Sweden & Associates for 5 years working on such projects as the WWII Memorial, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the HGTV Dream Home 2002. My professional career in the built environment began with an internship with the Smithsonian Institution for a summer and then proceeded to get my horticulture and landscape architecture degrees.
